Author Responsibilities

  • All studies submitted to IJABE should be original.
  • Authors should cite and / or quote completely and accurately where it is necessary.
  • Persons who do not contribute to the study intellectually should not be stated as an author.
  • Potential conflicts of interest of the author (s) should be disclosed.
  • During the review process, raw data may be requested from the author (s), in such a case, the author (s) should be ready to present the data and information to the editorial board.
  • The author (s) should have necessary permissions to use the data used.
  • Authors cannot submit their manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
  • Each submission can be started at the end of the previous submissions.
  • A study published in another journal cannot be sent for submission.
  • Once the evaluation process is started, it is not possible to add, change or remove authors.
  • No copyright can be claimed for the articles submitted to the journal.
  • Before submission of any paper, the published ethical standards of the journal should be taken into consideration, and the relevant permissions should be obtained before the publication phase.
  • Editorial board assumes that article owners agree to abide by these conditions whith the submisson

    Peer-review Process

  • 1. Once submitted, your manuscript will be subject to an initial assessment of a managing editor who will decide that your paper is within the scope and it meets the basic scientific criteria of the journal.
  • 2. An Editor will be assigned to your paper.
  • 3. Assigned Editor will select 2 or more researchers as external reviewer.
  • 4. If all reviewers accept to review the paper initial evaluation process will be started.
  • 5. Initial evaluation process should be finalized within 4 weeks.(Fast track publication is priorty of the IJABE however this time period is not exact due to external conditions)
  • 6. Assigned editor will make a decision based on reports of the referees.
  • 7. If decision is reject than submission process will be finalized without publication.
  • 8. If decision is major/minor revision authors should revise their paper in a certain period of time and resubmit their revised work.
  • 9. Final decision is up to the assigned editor and several rounds of revisions would be completed before publication. It should be note that editor has right to reject the paper even after revisions.
  • 10. After the acceptance of the study, authors should sign a copyright release form and submit it to editorial office.
  • 11. Editorial office will prepare the paper for publication as soon as possible.
  • 12. Editorial office will send proofs of the paper to the author(s) for final check.
  • 13. At that stage only minor typo errors and spelling mistakes would be corrected by the author. Other revisions may cause a need for re-evaluation.
  • 14. After the approval of the final form of the proofs, manuscript will be published with an assigned doi.

    Style and Formatting

  • IJABE allows authors to submit their paper in their own style to simplify the process of preparing papers.
  • IJABE strongly encourages authors to prepare their manuscript with IJABE latex template.
  • Authors should submit a single file (word or PDF) including all graphics.
  • Graphics and tables should be placed within the text.
  • Graphics should be clear and high quality. Embedded text on graphics should be readable.
  • Manuscripts must be well structured.
  • Essential elements should be placed in the text such as Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Each manuscript should have a title page which includes title, The affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the e-mail address of the corresponding author.
  • Only page that can include information about author(s) identity is title page.
